Each year during the Christmas season we devote a page of The Lookout to a Christmas greeting from our staff to our readers. This year I’ve chosen to post our greeting on my editorial page, the first page (after the cover) you see in our print edition.
Instead of our traditional greetings, I’ve asked the members of our staff to tell you, our readers, about their involvement in this ministry and what they appreciate about working on The Lookout from week to week.
I hope these simple glimpses into our hearts for this ministry will resonate with your heart as we celebrate the Christmas season and anticipate another year of providing biblical, insightful, and practical reading material to help you grow in your walk with Christ.
For a decade I’ve enjoyed working with The Lookout team, building each week a magazine that has encouraged and edified the body of Christ for well over a century. I’m grateful to take part in this longstanding campaign of unity and spiritual growth, and to work with such great people. Merry Christmas, and thanks for reading!

I’ve had the privilege of working with the staff of The Lookout for almost 11 years. One of the things I most enjoy is communicating with our freelance writers and columnists. We have wonderful writers; many have been a great blessing to me and some have become very close friends. Our writers work hard each week to bring interesting and informative articles to you, our readers. Thank you for continuing to read The Lookout each week. You make our ministry possible. Merry Christmas!

Editing a weekly Christian periodical has its challenges, but the rewards are far greater. For the last 12 years I’ve had the privilege of coming to work every day to spend time in God’s Word, write editorials, and read (and edit) the good work of hundreds of Christian authors. I feel a keen sense of accomplishment and satisfaction every time I hold a new edition of our magazine in my hands. I thank the Lord for Sheryl and Mike—for their friendship and for the conscientious work they do each week to make The Lookout a quality publication. And I thank God for you, our faithful readers, who make all of this possible. A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!
