My name is Jerry Harris and in addition to being the lead pastor of The Crossing in Quincy, Illinois, I’m the new publisher of Christian Standard Media. As many of you know, now that the Restoration Movement owns our magazines, we have been hard at work updating Christian Standard into something completely new and fresh with different content and quality. We hope you like it and we believe you do, based on the new and renewed subscriptions flowing in!

Now we’re turning our attention to The Lookout and want to take it to the next level. It will continue as a weekly publication delivered in a monthly bundle, but it will look quite a bit different, more like a journal or diary. We believe this will greatly increase its value to you for years to come. The new format will contain the same great Bible study features it has for years, expanded with discussion starters, small group and Bible study questions, an annual Bible reading plan, a prayer journal, and stories that illustrate the weekly study material.

It will be printed on sturdier paper so you can write in it during your daily devotional time and as you prepare for Bible study. It will become a journal or diary of your daily walk as a disciple of Jesus. What you write in it will make it precious not only to you, but to your children and grandchildren. It will be a chronicle of your journey with your Savior.

The price won’t change but the quality will increase. Our goal isn’t to sell magazines but to create a discipleship tool that you and your family will use and treasure. We plan to unveil our new format this November at ICOM in Peoria, Illinois. We pray that it will become a tool to help you get into God’s Word and to get God’s Word into you for years to come.
