1. Is Father’s Day a day of gladness or sadness or a little of both for you? Why? 

Read Zephaniah 3:9-14, 20.

2. In your own words, what things does God promise to the faithful?

3. What does God call his faithful people to do?

4. What parts of this passage can apply to:

• The first coming of Jesus and the age of his church, in which we now live?

• The end times and second coming of Christ?

5. What has God done or is he doing in your life to help you become more meek and humble?

6. Close by bringing God an offering of worship. A few ideas:

• Sing a familiar hymn or song that praises God for who he is and what he’s doing.

• Shout out praises to God, using each letter of the word GLAD. For instance, you may start by shouting out, “God, you are good!” Have everyone join in by shouting out to God other attributes of God beginning with that letter. Then move on to L; for instance, “God you are Lord of my life!” and so on.

• Close by lifting up a prayer of rejoicing in God’s creation and grace.
