If someone were to ask you, “Who is God?” how would you respond?

Read Micah 7:14-20.

What did Micah ask God to do for his people?

• How is that in line with God’s nature?

• How would you characterize God’s response (v. 15)?

• What do you learn about God in verses 16-20?

How will the world someday respond to God’s powerful acts? How does that give you hope with what is going on in the world today?

Why is it vital to our faith to understand both God’s sovereignty/power and his compassion/mercy?

If you were describing God to a friend who does not know him, what words or phrases from this passage would you use?

Choose and then write a character trait of God on an index card and look at it through the week to remember who God truly is: He is my shepherd. He pardons my sin. He does not stay angry forever. He delights to show me mercy. He has compassion on me. He is faithful. He shows love to me.
